  多次获得国家社科基金、教育部人文社科基金、国家留学基金等项目资助，研究成果发表在Nature子刊、JMIR、BMC Public Health、Vaccines、《新闻与传播研究》,《传播与社会学刊》,《现代传播》等学术期刊，担任BMJ、JMIR、New Media & Society、HSSCOMMS、BMC Public Health等医学/新闻传播学JCR一区期刊审稿人；担任《中国医学人文》等期刊编委。

  中国新闻奖评委、审核委员，湖北新闻奖评委，行业新闻奖评委，新闻阅评专家；担任政府及管理部门多个专业领域的专家组成员，以及多家著名媒体特约撰稿人。

  指导多名本科生/研究生论文发表在国际一流学术期刊或被ICA、IAMCR等国际顶会录用，指导多名学生获得国家级/省级竞赛奖项、省级/校级优秀学位论文奖，范敬宜学子奖、程之范论文奖，以及多项编辑/评论/影像/设计等赛事奖项。
