Colin Sparks教授，英国著名媒介与文化研究学者，1974年 就职于英国威斯敏斯特大学，现任该校媒体、艺术与设计学院教授，传播与媒体研究所所长。多年来致力于批判立场的传播学研究，近来的主要研究领域是媒体与民 主化、媒介的全球化、互联网对大众媒介的影响等。已出版著作有《报业传说：媒体注视下的全球化争论》、《共产主义、资本主义和媒介》、《21世纪的记者》、《媒介与大众文化》等。

Director, CAMRI (Communication and Media Research Institute).Working for the University since 1974 in various capacities. Research Interests:
Media and democratization; Media and globalization; Impact of the Internet on the mass media.
